I was asked for 2024's Upfest (a street art festival held every year in Bristol U.K.) to reimagine a design I did 15 years ago. The image I was asked to reimagine was my peacock tree named Wings of Change. This is by far the most requested image I have been asked to revisit and for its 15 year anniversary the peacock morphed into a flamingo.

The Flamingo is a 3 colour screen print with a lots of hand colouring. The base layer is a virtually invisible gloss white screen print that's purpose is to pull out little details in the hand colouring. I've used this technique many times before but always thought it would not be possible since I switched from oil based inks to water based inks 6 years ago. The result adds depth to the overall image and compliments the second screen printed layer which is the coloured pattern. The third layer is the black which ties the whole image together. The iridescent gold in the leaves is also hand painted.

In most cases the art/product is ready to send the next working day. All art sent in the U.K. is via Special Delivery which is insured and should arrive the day after it's sent.

If a piece of art isn’t ready to go please allow a few extra days as it probably needs colouring, you’ll get a dispatched email as soon as your order has left the studio with the tracking info.
