The Kestrel is an 8 layer screen print depicting a kestrel in flight. Over the course of a few weeks I went out with our trusty hound to photograph kestrels at one of our favourite places to walk on the south coast.

Once I had all the photographs I needed I layered them up in a sequence I was happy with and then screen printed them in the studio. This was probably the most complex print I had made at that point because the ink I use for printing changes over time, so the transparent white ink I mixed that day would have changed over night and become more opaque the following day so would then need watering down a little to achieve the desired colour. An interesting learning curve but was well worth it.

In most cases the art/product is ready to send the next working day. All art sent in the U.K. is via Special Delivery which is insured and should arrive the day after it's sent.

If a piece of art isn’t ready to go please allow a few extra days as it probably needs colouring, you’ll get a dispatched email as soon as your order has left the studio with the tracking info.
